Safe Kids Maine Events

Safe Kids Maine conducts a variety of public events statewide. The two topics currently focused on are child passenger safety and fireworks safety. For car seat safety, our Safety Van and our Mobile Car Seat Checkup  Event Trailer is fully equipped to conduct a car seat inspection event in cities and towns throughout Maine. For fireworks safety, in partnership with Pyro City Maine, we conduct public educational exhibit tables at fairs and community events to distribute free items to children and to parents as well as conduct in-school presentations to children in grades 3 to 6.  If your agency or school is interested in conducting or sponsoring an event, please contact Safe Kids Maine at 207-899-9461 or e-mail safekidsmaine@tallpinesafety.org  

Please note: A "Car Seat Inspection Station" is a car seat checkup event that is held at a regular location on a regular day and time every month. "Car Seat Checkup Events" are events that are conducted at various locations and at various times throughout the year. Inspection Stations open year-round inside heated buildings while Car Seat Checkup Events are usually conducted outside during the months of May through September.   All Safe Kids Maine Car Seat Inspection Stations and Checkup Events are staffed by Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians. Please bring your car seat's instruction manual and the vehicle owner's manual, if available.
